By downloading, installing, or using the Scoop mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Scoop is a mobile application that helps users find healthier meal options at restaurants. The App provides nutritional information, meal recommendations, and tracking features to support users' dietary goals.
3. User Accounts
The App uses anonymous device-based authentication. Your data is associated with your device and is not linked to any personal account. If you delete the App or switch devices, your data may be lost.
4. Subscription and Payments
Scoop offers subscription-based access to premium features. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms for in-app purchases. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
5. Nutritional Information Disclaimer
The nutritional information provided in the App is for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete or up-to-date. Menu items and nutritional values may vary by location and are subject to change by restaurants. Always verify nutritional information with the restaurant if you have dietary restrictions or allergies.
6. Health Disclaimer
Scoop is not a medical or healthcare app. The recommendations and information provided are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Consult with a qualified healthcare professional before making any dietary changes, especially if you have medical conditions.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code from the App; (c) interfere with the App's functionality; (d) use automated systems to access the App; (e) misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
8. Intellectual Property
The App and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Salient Labs and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salient Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
